Wild herbs

This is the time of the year when you can pick wild herbs and create your own tea. You can dry them or just pour boiled water on top of the herb and enjoy wild and fresh tea. Pick them in the nature, away from the road. Each herb has its benefit, but always be careful with what you drink. Herbs come from nature but can still have a strong effect. Let me tell you a little bit of the herbs you see on the picture.

St. John’s Wort, the yellow flower, is known to alleviate light symptoms of depression, decrease cyclical hormone issues, and can be used to ease relaxation before bedtime. It is detoxing, which is positive but the down-side is that it can impair the effect of medicine.

Lady’s mantle, light green leaves, can reduce menstrual pain and heavy bleeding during menstruation.

Raspberry leaves, dark green leaves, contain a collection of nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants, and can help boost the immune system, regulate hormones, prevent nausea and aid in women’s health.

Yarrow, the white flower, has long been used to treat digestive issues. Yarrow raises the body temperature and can therefor prevent or shorten a flu or a cold.

Red clover, the pink flower, contains isoflavones, plant-based chemicals that produce estrogen-like effects in the body. Isoflavones has therefor the potential to treat several conditions associated with menopause, such as hot flashes.
